    Mills River, NC-. The winds of Change blew in Doug “Dirty Birdie” Good’s favor on Saturday clinching him the Win, the Hat, and the 2011 AVLMGA Bastards Championship. With a Merdie on the 3rd hole, Good set the pace and pressure was on, Beating out newcomer Jerome “Hallz Ballz” Hall by only 1 stroke.

      ASHEVILLE, NC - Congratulations go out to this years 2011 Asheville MGA Rebel beach AM-AM Champion Christopher " doc bimmer " Joyner ... after “Dirty Birdie” tried doing the math in his head and prematurely awarded “Doc” the coveted "M" and even photographed the celebration, MGA officials were quick with the calculator to correct the error, taking the "M" away replacing it with a really BIG CHECK. Joyner not only took home the money but partnered up with Jim “double Par” Hemming took home the coveted 2011 Rebel beach desk top Zen gardens.     Asheville MGA opened the 2011 MGA season with the Rebel Beach Am-Am on Saturday 12th March at Broadmore Golf links. With all eyes on Asheville, Chapter leader Jason” four Putt” Willoughby stepped up to the plate delivering the “Shot heard around the MGA world” ringing in the beginning of the 2011 season. Jim “double par” Hemmings commented “hey you almost made it to the Ladies Tee” and the fight for the 2011 MGA season was on.     Team Hemming and Joyner continued to dominate the front with impressive team trash talk but trailed by 4 strokes at end of Hole 9.     Starting off the back 9 with a beautiful 250+ drive, Hemming sealed his place in history for the longest drive of the day. To make it worse for team Willoughby and Good, Hemmings topped it off with a Meagle. Coupled along with a very impressive short game Hemmings took home the Gross award. Willoughby vowed “if Hemmings keeps hitting the green from 100 yards out, Avl Mga’s going get him a gold chain to attach to his divot fixer.”   Exhaustion and fatigue apparent Willoughby completely fell apart on the back 9 clinching the meltdown award with a 27 stroke differential. Ouch!!!     Despite his partners meltdown, Good remained consistent to clinch the Mediocre award for the day.       Age and wisdom triumphed over the youngsters Willoughby and Good who decided to skip a day at the driving range and meet at Goodwill to find matching outfits. “Yeah they looked alright, I guess, they sorta matched, but this is the Rebel beach, why do you think I wore a shirt with no collar. I’m a Rebel. And I’m Winning.. “Said Joyner During his acceptance speech..       RESULTS   AVL-MGA will be hosting The Bastards April 23rd High Vista Country Club.
