  • MERRY CHRISTMAS FROM THE SLCMGA!!!

    December 12, 2011 - 10:40pm
      It took us a few times to get it down as we were full of Christmas cheer and whiskey as seen below.
  • The Last Gasp SHOCKER at SLCMGA!!

    October 28, 2011 - 1:35pm
    10.9.11 Salt Lake City, Utah Bonneville Golf Course   SHOCKING!!  Just kidding, not really, actually not at all.  Jerry "The Tool" wins his 3rd tourney of the year.  Be scared of this guy in Vegas, if I was a bettin man, I might just drop a little coin on this medio.   Also congrats goes out to Jason Avelar who won the non member competition and got his ticket punched into next years SLCMGA chapter.   In other shocking news I broke my camera, and all the other medios were too fucking lazy to send me any pictures.  But dont worry, thanks to medio Ruben Gottardi we have this mediocre video featuring SLCMGA Mike Mayo singing/screaming his guts out in his not so mediocre band THUNDERFIST who will be playing Friday night after the meet and greet at the Doubledown.  Enjoy!   {youtube}9xYPg3mbLzc{/youtube}
  • SLCMGA....Greg "The Mouth" Blackbourn takes home The MGA

    August 31, 2011 - 3:49pm
    August 21, 2011 Mountain Dell Canyon Course   Pristine mountains, crystal clear skies, birds chirping in the distance, a few deer spotted on the hillside and the screams of "Fuck You!" echoing off the canyon walls.  Only one person on the SLCMGA is capable of ruining that type of serenity, and that person is Greg "The Mouth" Blackbourn who shot a 93 to take home his first MGA title and a kinda big check.  And to top it off, as if running his mouth on winning the Championship wasn't enough (which we will hear about for the next month), he also took home the gross award with an 86. Note the LDS tournament posters still hung from previous day.  Blasphemy!   Mountain Dell Lake Course is what was scheduled for the MGA Championship.  Many of the SLCMGA practiced on the course just days before.  But when we showed up for the tournament, they gave us the ol' bait and switch and stuck us on the more difficult, less scenic canyon course.  Thanks Mt. Dell!  None the less some pretty mediocre golf was played. Here in Utah, we prefer natural beauty to concrete and iron. And no, we are not talking about Patrick Carter.   Steadily rising in the ranks is Rheda Fouad who took second with a solid 95. Rheda Third place went to the Meltdown winner and Bratish Champ Jerry Nuelle who shot a 97. The Tool   Mick "Thumbless Metal" Mayo was disappointed once again with his 4th place finish.  It seems that after his first MGA win at the FU Open he has been struggling at the tournaments and complaining about the money structure. Mayo teeing off, seconds later his shot nearly kills the cameraman.   We have got to give credit where credit is due, these guys have yet to break the top 5 and consistently shoot in the triple digits. But they are improving each time out, and this time they have some bragging rights. Kiki Mike Crane "The Mouth" T minus 5 seconds till meltdown AJ was very pleased with his 106, then again maybe not. Marcus, being Marcus.   Once again, a great time was had by all.  But look to next month when the drama and battle for the top ten begins.  Can Chris Moore finally break through?  Will Kiki hold off Chris and Patrick Howell?  Will Shane Price drink one too many beers and pass out in his own vomit on the 17th green?  All these questions and more will be answered starting next month at the Douchebag Invitational.
