Our 3rd MAJOR of the year ...This is the truest example in the IE of a European style Links course ... it seems to be on the mend after a change in ownership and I really would like to give it a chance, and support a course trying to battle back to it's potential glory (much like our golf games!) You'll find some bare spots in the fairways and the rough is pretty much non existent but the course layout is interesting and challenging but still very much playable. The ditches that run throughout the course come into play often as do the large quantity and variety of bunkers. There's not a house around nor a tree over 8ft to knock down wayward shots or provide any shade so we're getting out early. The course is doing a British themed menu including Fish & Chips and Bangers & Mash so plan on grabbing a bite after the round and watching the pros @ the British Open while we give out some Mediocre awards!
