#2 S.H.I.T. Show Has Passed!

The Second Annual So Hot Invitational Tournament, or as we like to call it,

"#2 SHIT Show" is over!

On September 15th, Six Chapters from around Florida all descended on Bardmoor Country Club in Pinellas County. It was a typical Florida day here - hot and humid. People were melting before they even teed off!

The Tampa Chapter came out on top as the Winner and repeat Champions. Congrats to Chris Adams, CL, and his crew for another hard fought championship. It was very close this year, only 3 strokes separated Tampa and 2nd place finishers, Tallahassee. Ian Kawas, CL, and his ferrel cats played a hard round, but they just couldn't catch Tampa in the end. Spring Hill, led by Pete Bedell, CL, and Fort Myers, headed up by Sean Hart, CL, were also separated by just 3 strokes. While they weren't in the running for the trophy, they still made a gallant effort to win nonetheless. A great big "shout out" to Jon Drath, CL who represented Ft. Lauderdale.

SHIT Show Hosts, Joe Carideo, CL, and his Pinellas County players made sure that they were the ever gracious hosts, by allowing everyone else to beat them. Next year, not so much!

The individual winner of the much coveted, but never duplicated "Floridaman" Trophy, was Pete Bedell, CL, Spring Hill Chapter. We almost gave the trophy to another guy, but people were quick to acknowledge that Pete had actually won by just 1 Stroke! Gian Congratulations to Pete. May you wear the hat proudly.

Tampa and Pinellas County also played their Douche Bag Invitational that day - sort of an event within an event. Congratulations to John Swiger, the winner for Pinellas County, and Brett Fuller took top honors for Tampa. Playing the Douche Bag event also allowed Pinellas County's Mike Robin to move back into First Place in the Global Money List. This year, the money list is an exciting race, with the lead going back and forth. With one more tournament left to play, it's going to be extremely close since only pennies separate the top 3 guys!

Immediately after the round, everybody came into the clubhouse for a Pulled Pork BBQ lunch with all the fixings. Including FREE BEER for everyone, courtesy of Pinellas County.

In all, we think everyone had a great time. The course was in very good condition, no casual water anywhere which is a big thing, considering the rain we've been having. A huge "Thanks" to Bob Bailey, GM and his staff at Bardmoor country Club, for really rolling out the red carpet for us all.

And an even bigger thanks to the Florida Chapter Leaders who helped pull this whole thing together. Without their help, Pinellas County would not have been able to pull this event off.
