AMGA Fore Championship
WOODCROFT, SA, Australia
The medios arrived to a beautiful sunny day at Thaxted Park, the venue for the Adelaide MGA Fore Championship. With Adham "the Stickerboy" absent, the stickers were there for the taking.
As we each took our first shot on this tough course, Brad used both his incredible playing ability, as well as some quirks of a digital camera to tee off with two drivers at the same time.

Not to be outdone, Ian had a go with his ghost driver.

Thaxted Park seems to be a little more upper class than we are used to. I'm assuming most groups through here don't have a childish giggle at this remarkably phallic looking group of trees.

After teeing off on the fifth hole, we had the course marshall hiding in the trees to the right asking us to let the next group play through. After a fifteen minute wait for them to catch up, they asked us why we waited. We hadn't held them up at all, just the local marshall likes to stamp his authority.

The sixth hole was the closest to the pin, where a terrible effort from all meant nobody hit the green. After pacing out some long distances, it was found that Matty was the "winner". He also took out most Mediocre for the day.

The tenth was the venue for the longest drive, where after everyone claimed the win from the tee, Ian took it out by a fair margin. The back nine was the home of a typical Australian Water Hazard, fronting onto four different holes, Mat managed to get in there from all four.

Matty also going for a "swim".

Despite the meltdown award winning +7, Ian still took out the big cheque, and the best looking trophy in the MGA again. He has volunteered to take on some penalty strokes for the next event, so hopefully someone else might get it for the FU Open.

See you all at North Adelaide
