 Congratulations go out to Michael Goode who takes home his second pair of the most coveted “My wife won’t let me keep this in the house” Claret Juggs trophy.

Goode beat out fellow SFMGAer Gabriel Elash by 6 strokes with a solid 90 for the day and 9 strokes ahead of Gross Awards winner Jerome “Hallz Ballz” Hall. Actually all 3 tied with 89’s, before penalty stokes.  Texas native Hall intimidated the SFers with talks of “Texas titty twisters" until Goode and Elash finally conceded with mumblings of having more gross award trophies then they could count.

With a host of Medio’s from all over the globe, Crooked Creek Golf course played host to the 2011 AVLMGA Bratish Open. Comparable to its links style cousin Crooked Creeks dog Lot status was a welcome change and a delightful venue. A second welcome change was AVLMGA newbie Stephen “Canadian Goose” Glauser. Glauser takes home the I’m kinda close award with a shot that landed just 50 feet shy from the pin and Finished out the day with a mediocre 100.

Doug “dirty birdie” Good added another “M” to his collection, taking his second mediocre award of the 2011 season. Good’s bag of mediocre tricks included skipping his ball across a pond to stay in play, and jumping a fence to get “four Putts” ball from a mean dog.

Asheville MGA is slowly becoming the mediocre golf Mecca of the world establishing it’s self with a face book page that has an astonishing 32 Likes. “one time we had 3 people post a comment, it's truly amazing!! and after such an awesome 2011 AVLMGA Bratish Open I’m thinking those likes and comment numbers will be closer to 4 by next month”- said meltdown award winner Jason “four Putt” Willoughby

Up next for the AVLMGA is the final major of the year, The MGA Championship the 3^rd or maybe the 4^th weekend of August. The location is yet to be determined but AVLMGA officials assure us it will be kinda similar to the PGA’s Highlands Course with tee boxes, fairways, greens, and water hazards.
