Todd Koch maintains his MGA perfection after shooting a blistering 83 on his way to winning the F.U. Open by a ColumbusMGA record 17 strokes over Jason Strickland (100).  Koch, who also won The Bastards back in April, is half way to the Mrand Slam!  We'll see if he can maintain his perfection and his quest for the Mrand Slam next month at The Bratish.  Strickland, who snagged the long drive award, will be looking to finally break through and win his first major... or maybe earn himself a new nickname by finishing runner-up in a major for the 3rd time this year. Stay tuned!

Finishing in 3rd place with a 102 was Eric Pierce. 4th place went to Tony Zimmerman who once again shot a 112 using only a 7-iron.

5th place went to Derrick Hitchens with his 119, who just barely edged our "most mediocre" winner Doug Wiford who shot 120 to finish in 6th place. Finishing 7th was Christopher Wiford with a 123. Hey Chris... rumor has it that this is the first time that your dad has ever beaten you... Congrats Doug!!

There was a tie for 8th place between Jeff Gilligan and newcomer Jimmy Frawley, who both shot 130. Welcome to the MGA Jimmy!

In a semi-close race for the Meltdown award, Kim Niswander's 22-stroke swing was good enough to win the award, as well as finish in 10th place with a score of 132. Rounding out the field was John LaRue in 11th place with a 154.

In other news - nobody earned the Closest to the Pin award. That's right, we all missed the green on the 5th hole! I've never been more proud of my chapter! Way to go!!!

Our next event will be The Bratish Open, which will be held on July 15 on top of the landfill that is now Phoenix Golf Links. Let's make this our best turnout yet!  Hope to see ALL of you there!

...and a 22 shot meltdown? big effort!

It is pronounced like Coke. Still up in the air about the MGAWC as I have only played in two events. Might have used up all I have in this last event. If you are putting your table winnings down, you might think twice...if it is your MGA winnings, that might be a different story. Thanks for the Vote of confidence though.

22 strokes isn't even our worst meltdown yet... we had a 25 stroke swing in the FORE!

holy sh!t -- 17 stroke win. If Todd Koch (is it pronounced like Cock, Coke or Kotch??) you are going to the World Championships in Vegas, i will put all my money earned at the tables behind you and your quest to win the MGAWC.
