The Cincinnati MGA headed to the link lands between the Ohio river and the seven hills of Cincinnati for our inaugural Bratish open.     After being assured by an unnamed member,  who won this tournament, that this was a wide open course we spent most of the first 9holes/3 hours in stuff that looked like this!!       Dennis Hirotsu walked away with his second major of the season and is already trash talking about his potential ‘Tiger Slam’.    While he talks tough we did note that he was not brave enough to take home the ‘claret jugs’ to show his wife!    The rest of us are all talking about getting his handicap adjusted to reflect his glide path of 96, 88 and now an 81 in the first three tournaments.     We did have to admit that he was pretty impressive today, walking away with the longest drive, closest to the pin, gross award and the championship.     Bill Morley once again staggered home into second place, shooting 41 then backing it up with a 49 to also take the Meltdown award.     Ken Edelman is clearly a man inspired by the play on the MGA tour and is headed to the front of the class.    He jumped from a 102 in his first tournament to a 93 today with a solid 45 on the back nine.    This earned not only third place but also a Most Mediocre award which he seems to think stands for something other than mediocre.   New comer Jeff Gerber came in 4th place but is clearly lulling the other players on tour into a false sense of security.    He shot a very respectable 94 that included an 8 and an 11.     He was nominated for the “Marlin Perkins” award during these two holes based on the amount of time he spent in the ‘wild kingdom’     However, the ‘Marlin Perkins’ award ultimately went to another new comer Steve Komrska who carded a 99 which included 8 penalty strokes for his visits to the tall grasses and wetlands.     Steve is another player to be watched as he dropped in the only Meagle of the day which was only 9 inches from being a Malbatross!!     A great time was had by all as we recalled our great shots to the sweet strains of ‘Titties and Beer’ playing in the back ground.     In two weeks we play the final major of the year with all eyes on Dennis to see how his game holds up under serious pressure.    ALL PICS
