CINMGA - Gerber takes his first major
In the other event,Jeff Gerber stepped up in only his second MGA tournament and took his first major championship, winning The MGA. He eliminated the 11’s from his card and improved by 13 strokes over the last tournament to blow away the small but determined field.

‘Billdozer’ Morley is considering a nickname change to ‘Bridesmaid’ as he has now taken second place in all four MGA tournaments this year. In a real show of efficiency he managed to give away all 8 of the shots that he lost by on one hole going 7 over par while Jeff went one under.

Ken Edelman finished in third but showed some flashes of brilliance including winning closest to the pin.

On a side note, it appears that Dennis Hirotsu is already starting to leverage his MGA fame. After winning the last two majors and heading for a ‘Tiger Slam’ he pulled out of this event to attend another golf commitment. Obviously some serious appearance money must be involved for him to skip this chance to move into the MGA record books .
