CINMGA Some F.U. golf in Cincinnati
Four strong souls sought a little FREEDOM from the wives and UNITY on the golf course to battle for the CINMGA F.U. Open title this past Saturday.
??????
Dennis Hirotsu became the first Major winner in the Chapter’s history and moved into 2nd place on the chapter money with a meven round of 88. He also took home the meltdown award with no difference between the front and the back as everyone else improved! He did screw up a very impressive round by taking an 8 on the last hole so he is deserving of the award.
New comer Rob Chuey took home second place with a 91. He came storming in with 3 mirdies in the first four holes but quickly felt the kind of major tournament pressure that only other mediocre golfers can apply. Luckily his frustration paid big dividends as he blasted a 280 yard beauty for the Long Drive win
The ‘Billdozer’ Morley showed what a great host and bad golfer his is by melting down on the first four holes with lost balls and four putts to take himself out of contention early. At least all this mediocrity did net him a most mediocre award.
Another new comer Ken Edelman showed that he is a player on the move. His 102 placed him fourth in the tournament but the six stroke improvement on the back nine as well as a closest to the pin award (only 18 inches from buying a lot of drinks!) prove that he has some game.
Next up, it is off to the flatlands of Lunken Airport course for the Bratish Open on August 6th.
