CVMGA - Joyce holds tight to the Last Gasp!!!

Pat Joyce goes balls out to WIN his second of the year. Joyce tried hard and long (winning the longest drive) to beat top CVMGA medio Rob Hall yet fell behind to give him 2nd in the CVMGA chapter. Joyce has several long drives throughout the day with left others wondering how many bowls of WHEATIES he ate for breakfast. He is more PGA like than MGA like.

Since Joyce seemed unstoppable, Christine Hardison came with her best game EVER. This can be a good thing when you are trying to hit the top ten in your chapter. Her drives were easily 250 and with the rolling factor, some even made 275. She was on fire with the 2-putt. This gave her the score of 93. Hardison came in second place and only misses the top ten by .23000000 of a dollar. Next year, the men better watch out, Hardison might just win one.
Jason Canton came out for his opening day of the season. Canton had a great day and his chipping skills were off the hook. He chipped on to the green over 30 feet and sunk the ball. One could hear the scream from the group for miles.
Ian Corzine had another mediocre day. He was in the middle of everything including winning the BIG M.

Jeff Rickert and Paul King tied for the melt down with a lovely 10 strokes. It is nice to have a friend that enjoys the meltdown too. Rickert also scored another win with closest to the pin (one club length)

Rush Shah came out for an added touch of class. He 4 putted on the last hole [true MGA style] after landing on in 2! And he would tell you that the greens on this course had the mandatory 3 putts per hole.

With another season under the belts of the CVMGA, we feel as mediocre as we can be. We look forward to another season in the sand, the water, and the trees.
