Robert Hall from CVMGA is the only other medio over the $4.000,000 mark as the top three are beginning to pull away from the field.

Of course all of this is meaningless if these kinda great players don't show up to play head to head on November 12th in the bare knuckle brawl that is the Mediocre Golf World Championships. The MGAWC's are returning to Vegas for the third year in a row, after a successful 2010 saw us drink so many $1 shots and $1 beers at the Sahara that they were forced to close down.

We'll once again be playing at The Legacy Golf Club in Henderson, after they put on another great event for us last year, but that's about all that is staying the same. We're moving on to a new hotel and we will also have a rad new location for our meet and greet, turning it into the proper party it always should have been. This year will also feature the introduction of the Chapters Cup© during the MGAWC's; an exciting new challenge which is sure to bring out a few more medios from each chapter.

All the details will be revealed in a series of articles over the next few weeks, culminating with registration opening for the MGAWC's on the site August 1st.

MGAWC 2010: A field with an average handicap index of 19.3 and average BAC of .193%

The dates are below so you can start to look at flights and begin to decide which clubs you will pawn to afford your airfare (we recommend your driver). Don't bother booking hotels though, as we here at the MGA have assembled an attractive package that will take care of all your hotel, transportation and golfing needs once you arrive in Vegas. That package will be outlined on the registration page when that opens August 1st.

Friday, November 11th - Practice rounds for pre-qualified players (Look in the rules section under the "about" tab to see who qualifies) and the L.O.I.Q. Tournament. The Last Opportunity In Qualification tournament is open to any MGA player who has played in three regular season events but still failed to qualify for the MGAWC. The top ten finishers in the L.O.I.Q. earn a spot in the MGAWC's the next day.

Saturday, November 12th - Mediocre Golf World Championships. Defending champion John James of the SFMGA will likely be relying on his "Past Champion" exemption status to make his way into the field this year. But that doesn't mean he's going to let go of that belt without a fight. Will you be the one to take it from him?!

Stay tuned for more details over the next few weeks!
