OCMGA Bratish Open - Mike DeSio takes home the Juggs! 4th win this season!

Mike DeSio once again crushed all opponents with a 91 at Indian Wells.

This article is a supplement to the feature news article that El Presidente wrote about the Bratish and Bob Dope Classic. His razor sharp wit and use of GIFs will be hard to beat. So I will use this article to cover our sponsers, prizes, and feature many of the pictures we collected.

The weather was a scorching 123* when we pulled into town on Friday. Every bag of ice had melted by the time we got to the door. 26 people had shown up for a 6am round! Since everyone paid before hand, it was easy for people to roll out of bed and into their carts. 3 Chapters were represented including El Presidente (EP) from the SF chapter. The newly formed Inland Empire MGA showed up with 7 members as guests for the Bratish, but all competing for the Bob Dope Classic. Sponsered by Dispensaries.com we had shirts and phone cases for long drive and Closest to the pin, and everyone had bags to carry more prizes we got from the champ! $25 gift cards for Lucky Strike (bowing alley not the cigarettes). $10 cash cards for Roger Dunn, and a grand prize for our Bob Dope and Most Mediocre. Orange County won the BDC for the second time with the Long Beach chapter not participating this year. 184 was the combined score that won, but the heat was a challenge for some of our most seasoned veterans. Facing heat strokes and stroking in the heat, we got lucky since the the temperature only got to 105*. After Mike DeSio won the Juggs, we bought 100 lbs of ice to cool down the pool by 2 degrees. We hardly remember going to a Casino, after drinking for 16 hours in the sun. I do vaguely remember Gavin Keeler saying we wanted his ashes to be put into a bucket of fried chicken when he dies. When its scorching you start thinking about your mortality and how you want to go out. I would like to thank everyone who came out, it was as fun as it was hot, and according to EP's article it was a success! Check the pics below to see all of your sweaty smiles and tough shots out of the Indian burial grounds.
