Clymer Claims The MGA, Most Honors

After an opening-nine score of 4-over par 40, Clymer wanted not just the win, but the Meltdown Award. He did just that, coming up with a back-nine 47 for a final score of 87 (net 90) to claim the title. Clymer won the 2025 Douchebag Invitational, also played at Nutters Crossing, but The MGA is his first major victory.

Along with the Meltdown Award, Clymer also picked up the Closest to the Pin honor on the par-3 fifth hole, hitting it to just inside eight feet. He also took home the Long Drive honor on the par-4 eighth hole.

His net 90 held off chapter money leader Tim Brennan, who finished with a net 92 for second place, followed by Paul Garcia in third, picking up his first top-three MGA finish.

Dave Battista was named Most Mediocre while Les Scott earned the Key to the Red Tee.

Members of the Lower Shore Chapter next tee it up in the Mid-Atlantic Chapters Cup regional event on Saturday, June 6 at Back Creek Golf Club. The next MGA major for the Lower Shore players is Saturday, June 27 at Ocean Pines Golf Club for the F.U. Open.
