Dakota Rainsberger wins yellow visor for first career title

Everyone in the field this week knew that this would be a true challenge of golf, and the course did not disappoint. In the end, it came down to a father and son both attempting to capture their first title.  Dakota Rainsberger would drain a 10 foot meagle putt, 1 of 3 for him for the day, on 18 to secure his first win.  Paskal who also had 2 meagles on the day, stumbled on the back 9 with 2 doubles that would ultimately sink his chances. Congratulations and job well done Dakota!  Nick Broders was also in the hunt firing a tournament low 83 to add another gross award and another top 5.   Other awards for the day: Dakota Rainsberger also took the long drive with an impressive 300 yrd bomb.  Nick Broders would edge out Brad Bixler for the proximity award.  Mitch Gray would take home the squish ball with the biggest melt down of +6 strokes. The red key would be given to Nate Beitler who was battling trees all day, and was last seen heading to Lowes to buy a husqvarna chainsaw for our next outing.  I forgot to tell him the next course is a links course.  I would like to say thank you to Ashland Golf Club for hosting us this week and making the course extra tough for us, and always a special thank you to Daisy Brand for their sponsorship.
