Knoxville MGA played their F.U. (Freedom & Unity) Open at Ruggles Ferry Golf Course. Shotgun start and for the first time this year, we weren't cart path only! Many golfers out to the FU trophy as a first career major, as others were looking to complete their career Mrand Slam.
John Henley was out of the gate trying to with the Jackpot money as he birdied his CTP shot, he was also trying to double his chances as he won the LD, but only parred the hole. All of this went to pot as Mike Forcier came out and Eagled #7 to canel anything that Henley had done.
Hole 16 Joe, Dave Simons, Lucas, and J-Mart had a rough start as the only one to get par was Joe, the rest had a doubled and one triple. This group tried to redeem themselves as their drivers were heating up(Their words) they all hit long straight drives on Hole 18. All came out with Doube Bogey! So much for a heated up Driver!
Hole in 2 Challenge has a good amount of money on the line, but this group of Medios didn't want it as nobody made the hole in 2 strokes.
Newcomer David Gillette brought home the most hardware with the Most 10's(Horses Ass Trophy) and the Red Key!
After eight long years, Sean Fay finally completed the Mrand Slam! He joins the company of Fred Tipton.
