The Final Countdown: Rebel Beach AM-AM

The beginning is nigh!

We are just 25 days away from the Cleveland Mediocre Golf Association's maiden voyage - the Rebel Beach AM-AM at Pine Hills

Golf Course. On Saturday, March 28th our ship sets sail, and I can't put into words how truly excited and terrified I am to kick off the first official tournament in chapter history.

Registration for the chapter and the tournament are still open! I was able to get additional tee times but need to notify the course in the next couple of weeks. Please have your buddies sign up and join. The first tournament is great because you can play with your friends.

There are a couple of things I want to address before we embark on this journey:

Seeing as though we are in Cleveland and hosting a golf tournament at the end of March, I ask you all to pray to whatever you believe in and ask for fair weather!

If the weather decides not to cooperate, I wanted to be sure you all understood our refund policy. It's simple, if the course allows me to adjust the final player count the day of the event and only charges me for the people who show up, you can have your money back. If they won't budge though, sadly you will not get a refund. We will play every tournament if the course is open. I am prepaying for everyone a week in advance, so canceling is highly discouraged. ALSO, DO NOT NO-CALL-NO-SHOW. That's a douche move and voids the refund policy.

We are set for a 9:00 AM tee off with a shotgun start. What that means is at 9:00 AM you are not in your cart and ready to roll, I won't be able to help you! As Chapter Leader, I am going to tee off as early as possibly so I can be back in the clubhouse and ready to set up the trophy celebration. I would HIGHLY recommend you get there at least 15-minutes before what you consider early. Ideally, I would love to have everyone checked in and ready to go a half hour before teeing off. If you're having issues, call my cell 216.316.8486.

Finally, many of the courses have displayed an utter panic regarding pace of play. I'm sure being called the Mediocre Golf Association hasn't alleviated any of the concerns. Because of this, I've put together some simple rules to keep up the pace of play during the round:
