Coming into our last event, there were several things yet to be determined. Our final champ, eligibility to Vegas, eligibility to shootout, and the chapter money winner. In a shortened field this week at Oak tree., it would come down to the final hole and a ten foot putt to secure the win. It would come down to three medios battling it out to the end. Zane Fast would shoot his season and tournament low 84 riding a hot driver, but a bogey on 18 would halt his pursuit to a first title. Brad Bixler who's probably been the most consistent golfer all year started out ice cold and finishing the front nine triple-triple on 8 and 9. Brad would have the turn-around of the year firing a scorching 37 on the back.to put the heat on our winner. It would be Zack Finley riding a hot streak that started last week at the Buckeye Cup and continuing this week. Zack would only have one wayward hole, hole 18 where he would open the door to both Brad and Zane. Zack faced a downhill ten foot double bogey putt, keeping his composure Zack stood above the putt and sunk the putt with ease, claiming his first title!
At the beginning of the day, Marlin Miller lead the chapter in money earned by a whopping 16 cents over Paskal Rainsberger and 40 cents over Dakota Rainsberger. Both Paskal and Dakota would struggle throughout the day, but with Marlin unable to attend, Paskal would finish high enough to claim the chapter title with Marlin finishing second and Dakota a close third. Throughout a season of eight tournaments, we had seven different winners with only Marlin winning two. That speaks volumes of our depth in the chapter. I want to finish by saying I had a great time this year putting this all together. At first, I had no idea what I was doing and was wondering if I'd even have enough people to start a chapter, so a very special thank you to those (Dakota, Zack, and Brad) who helped me put this together and create a fantastic chapter of guys and gal. I pray everyone had a great time and plans to come back again next year. I only ask to please help me get the word out to others to help keep this chapter strong. A final thank you to all of you! You made this chapter what it is. I am very proud to lead this chapter and couldn't be happier of the talent and more importantly the integrity everyone shown all year.
