Wayne Eidson is back on top! Wayne shot a smoking-hot 81 to win the Douche Bag Open and secure his second victory of the season.
Wayne opened the front nine with a respectable 43, then caught fire on the back nine, posting a scorching 38 that included a chip-in birdie from off the green. When the dust settled, Wayne was once again holding the hardware. Congratulations, Wayne!
We had our largest field of the year, with 32 golfers, including four guests. Heritage Pines is a shorter course that plays much tougher than the yardage suggests, and apparently the field figured that out as almost everyone played better on the back nine. The course was in fantastic shape and provided plenty of opportunities for mediocre golf.
