Newcomer Jeff Poe Wins the MGA!

Jeff Poe, signing up just last week, wins the 2024 Central Coast "The 805" MGA - The MGA at Hunter Ranch GC

In an unusual cool and overcast day at Hunter Ranch GC , 21 brave souls showed up to vie for the MGA medal and bragging rights for the year.  The course played tough and scores were high.  Arturo Santiago checked in with a 104 to cash in 16th place.  Kaleb Goodman & Marco Moorehead tied for 14th with 103s.  Ken Whittle and Marc Rodriguez, last years MGA champ,  tied for 12th posting 100s.  Pat Stanhope & Joey Farris tied for 10th handing in 99s.  Ricky Lloyd & Gene Hicks tied for 8th posting 97s.  Andrew Cherry scored a 95 for solo 7th.  In a tie for 5th, Clint McIntosh & Dan Butz with 94s.  John Pilling landed at 4th with a 92. 

Even in winning, Jeff Poe took the Meltdown award 9! shots difference (shooting par on the front will do that.  Low Gross went to Alex Linn with a 79.  Long Drive went to John Pilling and CTTP went to Ricky Lloyd.  F'ing Joey Fariss is Most Medicore.  Justin Ennis took the Red Key and the "honor" to tee from the Reds next event.  Reverse Meltdown went to John Pilling & Mike Moreno with 7 shot difference.  Longest putt on 15 went to Mike Moreno.  Best Dressed was given to Michael Goodman.

Posting a 91 was Michael Goodman to take 3rd.  Bill White took 2nd with a 90.  After just joining the chapter last week, Jeff Poe posted a 89 to win the 2024 MGA.
