The Rebel Beach AM-AM

Postponing never went so well. The first ever Paw Paw MGA event is in the books and wow what a day. The weather outside was gorgeous, a lot of drinks were drank, and A LOT of golf balls were hit! We all fumbled through it and the event was a success.

First off a huge thank you to Owen, Tim, and Don for making the drive down from the Grand Rapids chapter. The support means so much.

The Rebel Beach AM-AM was held at Cheshire hills in Allegan. The course was in great shape for being so early in the year. Especially the woods which most of us got to experience first hand. With the tight fairways and nasty dog legs it was a great way to start the season and remind us all that no matter how much golf we watched over the winter, we still suck. We had an amazing turn out for the first event, which brought out several new MGA members as well as a few members from the GR chapter.

Newcomer Trey Mott put up an astounding 96 to win the gross award and take home the big check worth an incredible 000.70 dollars. Trey Mott and Brad Marshall both won longest drive and closest to the pin went to Owen Dominick. Caanan Field gets to take home the prestigious Key to the Red Tees, and gets to move up to the red tees for the next event. The AM-AM duo of John McDonald and Owen Dominick kept it just mediocre enough to bring home the win and the trophies, beating Brad Marshall and Tim Winters by just one stroke.

Congratulations everyone, and thank you to everyone who came out!
