T-County 26 FORE! Championship

     The Gross Award goes to Arlin Schlabach with a 84. His 6 penalty strokes gave him a net 90, good enough for a tie for 3rd place. By the score card turned in by his brother. As the awards ceremony was ending, Hootie claimed he had 2 birdies which neither one made the score card. So he probably scored better. But he is still in the lead of the Chapter Money List.

Tuscarawas County Medios pay attention! Both golf carts should keep a score card with all 4 golfers on it. After nine holes add up the score cards and make sure both score cards read the same. Repeat this on the back nine. Then turn in a score card. 

Matt Wojcik won Most Mediocre of the Day. He shot a 97. He was 1 of 3 people to play better on the back nine than the front. Matt has won 1 Most Mediocre of the Day each of the 3 seasons of the Tuscarawas County MGA. He definitely belongs in this group. Congratulations Matt !

We have a new name to add to the list of Key to the Red Tee holders. Coy Kanouff. This course and day didn't mesh with him. Hopefully he comes out next time and lights it up from a tee box up. His cart partner and Dad, Chad Kanouff, wasn't feeling the back nine. He melted down 10 strokes to win the Biggest Meltdown Stress Ball. I wouldn't be surprised if he took it on the boat with him for when the fish aren't biting. 

16 medios showed up and not a single one hit the fairway to win the Kinda Long Pin. SMH.  

We had a tie for 6th place Ryan Carey and Brandon Baker both finished with 96. Ryan had a birdie to help out. Brandon didn't have a birdie which is rare but he did Win a skin with a par on the 515 yd par 5 #15. 

Titus Miller placed 5th with a 46 - 48 - 94. Titus was against playing for skins until he found out you could win with a par. Then he jumped all in and it payed off. He Won a skin on #18 a 414 yd par 4 with a par. Great job Titus. 

Will Mitchell was the one who tied Hootie for 3rd. He shot a 42 - 48 - 90. Nice top 3 for Will. Keep it up.

Michael Denham won his 3rd Kinda Close Pin of the season. Probably the luckiest shot of the day. It landed short right in the bunker, then bounced softly onto the green and just trickled right for the pin. Sorry guys, sometimes its better to be lucky then good. Denham was another winner of a skin. He got his on #10 a 370 yd par 4 with a birdie. Shooting a 42 - 44 - 86 + 3 - 89 was good enough for 2nd place. 

And finally, this guy is playing superb golf recently. Cody Bonanno went to Sycamore Springs for the Midwest Regional and came away with the Overall Win with an 82. Wining in a 3 person Chip / Putt off. Great job representing Tuscarawas County MGA. They know us now!. He continued that hot play at the Fore! Championship. And he took Fore! to heart, almost killing us on the green from over 250 yds out. He birdied 2 holes and won skins on both. #3 488 yd par 5. and #13 495 yd par 5. He ended the day with a 45 - 43 - 88. Taking the great glass trophy and big check home. With this win Cody jumped from 12th on the Chapter Money List to 6th place. Definitely could crack the top 5 by the end of the season if the blue tees don't derail that plan.
